Termination Code 1212 When Opening Company File
Article ID: 2027028 Last updated: 5 March 2026
You may encounter Termination Code 1212 when opening a company file:

Possible Cause - AccountEdge Pro 33.1.1.1
This may be caused by a reported problem in AccountEdge Pro build 33.1.1.1 when using the File> Open Recents feature when switching between company files.
- The File> Open Recents issue was limited to AccountEdge Pro 33.1.1.1; it did not affect earlier or later builds, nor did it affect AccountEdge NE.
- Check your build via the AccountEdge Pro menu> About AccountEdge Pro.
- If you are using build 33.1.1.1 then please use the AccountEdge menu> Check For Updates to build 33.1.3.3 or later.
If you are not using AccountEdge Pro 33.1.1.1
If you are
not using AccountEdge Pro build 33.1.1.1 (i.e. you are using an earlier or later build, or you are using AccountEdge NE) then your issue may have been caused by a problem exiting from AccountEdge; for example, a power cut or crash of some kind.
Clearing Termination Code 1212
To clear the Termination Code 1212 and open your company file:
- First, ensure AccountEdge is not open.
- Next, using Finder, go to the folder containing your company file (.myo file), and move any Access.flk or Lock.flk files to the Bin / Trash. These files are likely present due to AccountEdge not opening or closing correctly earlier.
Note: Access & Lock files will always be created and removed by AccountEdge when opening / closing company files.
By manually removing the Access & Lock files, you are clearing the files that AccountEdge would usually remove itself.
Please contact the Ledger One support team if the issue persists.
