AccountEdge Pro  &  AccountEdge NE

2023 Upgrade

Instructions for existing users of AccountEdge Pro or NE 2022

Note:  Customers upgrading from legacy versions of AccountEdge 2021 or earlier, please click here to upgrade.



AccountEdge Pro & NE 2023 for macOS High Sierra, Mojave, Catalina, Big Sur, Monterey, Ventura, and Sonoma.

This upgrade is free as part of your annual service agreement.

AccountEdge Pro or NE 2023 is required to process payrolls from 6 April 2023.



AccountEdge Pro 2022 users

To upgrade from AccountEdge Pro 2022 to 2023:

  1.  Start AccountEdge Pro as normal.
  2.  Use the AccountEdge Pro menu> Check for Updates to download and install the update.
  3.  This update requires you to upgrade your company data file(s).

Simply select your file from the Open or Browse button on the Welcome window and the Upgrade Assistant will guide you through the process.

AccountEdge NE 2022 users

To upgrade from AccountEdge NE 2022 to 2023:

  1.  Ensure all users have logged out of all company files before upgrading.
  2.  On the host computer, go to the Apple> System Preferences> AccountEdge window and Stop FileConnect.
  3.  On the host computer, start AccountEdge NE as normal.

Use the AccountEdge NE menu> Check for Updates to download and install the update.

  1.  This update requires a new FileConnect (v27.0.5) for the host computer.

In the Welcome window, select Company File Maintenance> Download FileConnect. 

Install the FileConnect on the host computer and restart when prompted.

After restarting, go to the Apple> System Preferences> AccountEdge window and Start File Connect.

  1.  This update requires you to upgrade your company data files.

Simply select your file from the Open or Browse button on the Welcome window and the Upgrade Assistant will guide you through the process.

  1.  Once the host computer has been updated, you can now update your workstations.

On each workstation, start AccountEdge NE and use the AccountEdge NE menu> Check for Updates to download and install the update.

FileConnect is not required on workstation computers.
